Holidays without worrying

To avoid nasty surprises, you have a guarantee of quality.
North to South, East to West—all over France you have a way to be sure of what you are renting: the Clévacances quality seal.

FRENCH NATIONAL QUALITY SEAL FOR HOLIDAY RENTALS

THE QUALITY SEAL YOUR CHOICE OF STANDARD QUALITY SEAL CRITERIA

CLÉVACANCES, A RECOGNISED BRAND MARK

The Clévacances quality approach was soon recognised by the French Government’s tourist services: on 30 May 1997, Clévacances France became one of the two national quality seals approved by the Ministry of Tourism.

Under this approval, renewed on 12 July, 2004, the French Government officially recognises:

  • the Clévacances Quality Charter, which refers to the Ministerial decree of 28 December 1976 on the classification of furnished holiday accommodation, as modified by the decrees of 8 January 1993 and 1 April 1997,
  • the mandate of the network of Clévacances professionals to inspect and classify tourist accommodation, in close liaison with department Prefects

The network’s technical inspectors are entitled to award a ministerial classification, and they are also guardians of the national Clévacances Quality Charter, which guarantees the facilities and security of accommodation with the quality seal, and common standards throughout France.

ONE TO FIVE KEYS, YOUR CHOICE OF STANDARD

One of the major plus points with Clévacances France is the variety of accommodation available:

Our products:

  • Clévacances rental
A Clévacances rental may be a detached house, a dwelling of character, a chalet, or a flat in a private house or in a block. This accommodation must meet certain minimum standards of facilities and habitability (Decree n° 87-149 of 6 March 1987), for which the landlord or landlord’s representative are legally responsible. The “Locations de France Clévacances” quality seal is awarded to individual accommodations on a scale of 1 to 5 keys
  • Service flat
A Clévacances service flat is a commercial company with rentals located in a touristic area or in a town in the countryside, in the mountains, on the sea-side or in town, being the subject of a permanent or seasonal exploitation. It consists in a homogeneous whole of furnished apartments, laid out in collective or suburban units, proposed for an occupation for nights, weeks or the month with tourist customers.
The classification is declined from 1 to 4 keys
  • Holiday park lodge
Holiday park lodges can be joint or individual, without foundation, made of boards, logs, shingles, reconstituted wood…, exclusively established within the collective framework of a usable airfield and classified, such as: campsite, residential leisure park, vacation village (decree n°84-227 of March 29, 1984). The classification is declined from 1 to 3 keys and is evaluated according to the standards of interior comfort. It is indissociable provisions of services and leisures.

Where to find them

  • We have a comprehensive range of destinations (seaside, mountains, countryside, town) in market towns, villages, and resorts (spas, seaside, winter sports) in France and French overseas possessions, at all seasons.

QUALITY SEAL AWARD PROCESS

Clévacances rentals and bed & breakfasts are classified according to three essential criteria:

  • Environmental: attractive appearance (building itself, surroundings, location, etc.) and total absence of inconveniences (noise, smell, rights of way, etc.),
  • Internal: space, furniture, decoration, household equipment and sanitary facilities, rooms compared with sleeping capacity,
  • Human: service and assistance from the landlord or landlord’s representative.
A well-received guest will enhance your reputation and the image of Clévacances France.

Each accommodation category has its own range of prices reflecting the standard of service.
